Cherie Marvel, PhD

Dr. Cherie Marvel is an Associate Professor of Neurology with a joint appointment in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the neural mechanisms underlying cognition, particularly in the context of chronic and infection-associated conditions. She uses advanced neuroimaging, brain stimulation, and experimental cognitive methods to better understand cerebellar function and brain–behavior relationships. Throughout her career, Dr. Marvel has worked extensively with clinical populations and continues to pursue innovative research that bridges neuroscience and patient-centered outcomes.
