Steven Farber, PhD
Professor of Biology
Dr. Steven Farber is a faculty member in the Department of Biology at the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and is widely recognized as the co-developer of Project BioEYES, an initiative that brings live zebrafish into classrooms around the world to engage students in hands-on science education. His laboratory uses optically clear zebrafish larvae to study human lipid processing, advancing understanding of metabolism and disease. With a background in electrical and biomedical engineering, Dr. Farber brings an engineering mindset to biological research and enjoys applying that same problem-solving approach both in the lab and beyond.
