The Academy at Johns Hopkins offers mentoring and coaching opportunities for faculty seeking guidance in clinical, research, educational, or professional development areas. The program connects faculty members with experienced retired and emeritus faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health.
Academy mentors and coaches bring decades of academic, institutional, and leadership experience and can provide insight into career development, leadership growth, scholarly advancement, and navigating academic environments. Because these mentors no longer hold supervisory responsibilities, they are able to provide guidance in a non-conflicted and supportive capacity.
Faculty interested in strengthening their mentoring network or seeking additional perspective on career progression, research, teaching, or leadership challenges can request mentorship through a brief intake form. This resource is especially valuable for faculty seeking individualized support and long-term professional development guidance.
