Periods of disruption and increasing professional demands can leave faculty feeling disconnected from their long-term goals and overall sense of purpose. This workshop focuses on helping individuals reconnect with what matters most and align their work with their values and well-being.
Actualize Your Purpose and Legacy: Workshop on Improving Your Well-Being guides participants through a structured process of assessing their current well-being and redefining success in a way that reflects their personal values and long-term aspirations. The workshop introduces the PERMA framework, which focuses on key dimensions of well-being including positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment.
Participants reflect on how external expectations and institutional norms may shape their definition of success and explore how to create a more intentional and personally meaningful vision. The workshop then supports participants in translating that vision into a practical roadmap, breaking long-term goals into actionable steps that support both professional growth and personal well-being.
By the end of the session, faculty gain a clearer understanding of their purpose and leave with a structured plan to guide their future work and impact.
